Local Tourist is the project of American songwriter Erin Umstead. After years of being a solo artist Erin formed the band in 2019—along with Joe Sampson (Salad Boys) and Rory Dalley (Ben Woods Group)—while living abroad in New Zealand. Erin has since returned to the US where she has toured with guitarist Paul Gonzenbach (The Jim Yoshii Pile-Up) as a duo.
