Local Tourist is the project of American songwriter Erin Umstead. After years of being a solo artist Erin formed the band in 2019—along with Joe Sampson (Salad Boys) and Rory Dalley (Ben Woods Group)—while living abroad in New Zealand. Such good healing energy on this album. Perfect for recovering from surgery. Thoughtful, plaintive, free of kitschy standard rock moves. Probably still good without the surgery. ;)
